Ministries

Servant Leader:

Purpose: To empower disciples through biblical teaching, specialty courses, and doctrinal classes. Sunday School, Bible Studies, and all church ministry's teaching materials are under the auspices of the Christian Education Ministry.

Servant Leader: Sister Doris Robinson

Purpose: To provide a ministry of helps through catering services for church events and functions to sustain the physical body.

The purpose of the Deacons and Deaconess Ministries is to assist the the Pastor in the spiritual realm of the church, membership care, sick visitations, serve communion, assist in Baptism, and assist the Pastor in ministry.

Servant Leader: Sister Rhonda Houston

Purpose: This ministry provides assistance to all members and the community in areas of education, from school curriculum, tutoring, summer programs, career development, specialty courses and training.

Servant Leader: Elder Anthony James

Purpose: The purpose of this ministry is to provide training, teaching, spiritual development, and preaching opportunities for ministers. The Elders and Ministers assist the Pastor whenever needed.

Servant Leader: Elder Jotella Ried

Purpose: The evangelism ministry's chief purpose is to win souls for Christ. This ministry provides teaching and training in the area of evangelism, discipleship, and outreach. The goal is that all persons in the ministry can effectively witness and share the gospel message.

Servant Leader: Deacon Chris Wright

Purpose: This ministry proposes budgets, manages, and distributes the financial resources of the congregation to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the congregation.

Servant Leader: Sister Brenda Campbell

Purpose: This ministry's mission is to show the love of God through the gift of hospitality. To serve and welcome each person who enters, that they might experience the power of God through the worship experience.

Servant Leader: L'Tanya Henderson

Purpose:  The purpose of this ministry is to promote preventive measures to help the congregation maintain good health by education them about the importance of regular screening, proper diet and exercise, health education and prayer.

Servant Leader: Elder Dora Houze/Elder Ovita Miller

Purpose: This ministry upholds the church by praying for the needs of others, and leading the congregation into corporate prayer. The mission of this ministry is to exalt God through prayer, train and instruct believers to pray and intercede, encourage and equip believers, and make prayer a lifestyle.

Purpose: This ministry provides a safe haven that promotes biblically based healthy marriages by equipping couples with the Word of God, empowering them with resources and tools to strengthen marriages, and offer activities and events.

Servant Leader: Elder Marchelle Cannady

Purpose: This ministry carries the gospel of Jesus Christ through the use of technology and media, and to equip other ministries of the church ti use digital and electronic media as a worship outreach tool. The ministry also provides technical support for audio, digital, and graphic needs.

Servant Leader: Minister Greg Stokes

Purpose: The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to develop biblically grounded men of faith, establish relationships, and spiritual empowerment, and cultural enrichment. This ministry provided an atmosphere for men to share their lives, confident that other men will support them.

Servant Leader: Sister Betty Dean Baker

Purpose: The purpose of the missionary ministry is to continuously seek to aid and assist church members or community persons in need, and partner with local outreach agencies providing resources, prayer, and spiritual guidance to all.

Servant Leader: Brother Chris Witherspoon

Purpose: The music and cultural arts provides music and other forms of expressive worship for all worship services. This ministry fosters and nurtures participation within the worship community through proclaiming the Word in song, dance, pantomime, step, and poetry.

Servant Leader:

Purpose: To welcome all guest and congregants, and assist congregants in safely parking vehicles, and help guide congregants around the church campus.

Servant Leader: Sister Kay Whitley

Purpose: To evangelize to the incarcerated with a message of "HOPE" found in Jesus Christ. Teaching God's Word, sharing testimonies, music, and worship.

Servant Leader: Sister Rhonda Houston

Purpose: To maintain a peaceful and safe environment  which is conducive to teaching, learning, living and sharing in the Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This ministry serves to solicit and encourage the cooperation of the church family to decrease the opportunity for crime and to facilitate maximum member participation in crime prevention by following basic rules and guidelines.

Servant Leader:

Purpose: This ministry offers opportunity for singles to gather and grow in their personal walk with Jesus Christ. we are committed to providing Christian singles with biblical instruction regarding singleness and encouraging wholeness and completeness in Jesus Christ.

Servant Leader: Sister Terry Stokes

Purpose: Seeks to help congregants see the challenges of modern society, through the lens of the christian faith. Grounded in the Word of God, this ministry finds ways to combat the challenges of poverty, homelessness, immigration, racism, globalization, and other injustices.

Servant Leader: Sister Del Hart

Purpose: To promote spiritual, physical, intellectual, and emotional growth through a variety of of wholesome activities that will stimulate seasoned adults and ensure no one is lost or forgotten. Some activities include traveling, crafts, workshops, and other fellowships.

Purpose: To supply safe and reliable transportation to and from worship services and other church related functions as necessary.

Purpose: To give oversight to the maintenance and care of the church properties and facilities.

Purpose: This ministry serves through the spirit of helps to accommodate every worshipper who enters the church with a seat, program, or any particular needs of the guest.

Servant Leader: Sister Barbara Queen

Purpose: To help, renew, and supply the necessary items to maintain the beauty and workmanship of New Hope. Through love for God, dedication, loyalty, and fellowship, this ministry provides the church with a special touch which adds character and class to our surrounding.

Servant Leader: Sister Helen Washington

Purpose: To minister to the needs of women and cultivate spiritual unity. To empower women to seek a higher level of spiritual maturity in Christ through biblical knowledge, study and fellowship. The Women's ministry creates an atmosphere that fosters love, "HOPE", support and encouragement among the women. This ministry supports the Pastor's vision and works with other ministries within the church and outreach ministries.

Purpose: This ministry seeks to equip young adults to be ambassadors for Christ and to be motivated and empowered to reach those that are lost, wining souls for Christ. The "HOPE" is to build a community, through fellowship to pursue a meaningful relationship with each other and with Jesus Christ.

Servant Leader: Sister Gwen McRae

Purpose: To establish a foundation for building christian character, morals, values and behaviors in young people. Using creative and innovative methods to excite, inspire, capture and ignite young people for Jesus, the goal is to help youth identify who Jesus is and birth a desire in them to live for Him. This ministry provides relative programs, activities, and events that will allow youth to build a strong foundation of faith that will enable them to express and share their faith through their own words, actions, and deeds.
